Job Summary

The Implementation Engineer 3 is responsible for leading implementation projects or stages of projects within the airline industry. This role ensures that tasks are delivered on time, within scope, and budget while operating with a high degree of autonomy. The engineer will collaborate with senior management and various departments both internally and externally to improve processes that enhance efficiency in the division.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation projects for small and medium-sized airlines, ensuring project delivery within the agreed timeline and budget.
• Define and document standard methods for customer migration and implementation processes.
• Execute solutions for data migration from customers' legacy systems to Amadeus systems.
• Provide functional and technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with system set-up and testing.
• Plan and execute rehearsal activities and migration plans with customers.
• Coordinate project activities across Amadeus departments, customers, and third-party organizations.
• Build and manage the Implementation Core team, centralizing and resolving technical and functional issues.
• Refine and finalize the implementation project scope in collaboration with the Programme Manager.
• Evaluate implementation project risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of implementation processes, particularly within the airline industry.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Solid technical knowledge related to data migration and system integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior management and clients.
• Ability to mentor and guide new team members.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with software implementation in airline systems.
• Knowledge of Amadeus systems or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an implementation engineering role or similar position, ideally within the airline or travel industry.
