ETL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to design and implement effective ETL processes that facilitate the movement and transformation of data across our systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity and usability, contributing to our overall data management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize and maintain existing ETL jobs for performance improvements and efficiency.
  • Conduct data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL issues promptly to minimize impact on data availability.
  • Document ETL processes and workflows for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based ETL solutions (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) to automate tasks.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in ETL development.

Environment

  • Work will typically be conducted in an office setting in Bangalore. Remote work options may be discussed based on company policy.
