Job Summary

The FP&A / Business Finance Manager will play a vital role in managing the entire Profit and Loss (P&L) for Avataar Ventures. This position requires a skilled individual who can analyze financial data, build complex financial models, and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making across both the in-house team and portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire P&L for Avataar Ventures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Assist portfolio companies in financial planning and analysis, offering strategic financial guidance.
• Leverage automation and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business strategy.
• Deliver insightful presentations using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate financial performance and projections.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or Business Finance.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
• Financial Knowledge: Well-versed in accounting principles and audit standards.
• Automated Solutions: Savvy in leveraging automation tools and AI to enhance financial processes.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial software and ERP systems for enhanced data management.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with venture capital finance and portfolio management.

Experience

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A or Business Finance with a demonstrated ability to manage P&L responsibilities.
