Embedded Systems Test Engineer

Job Summary

The Embedded Systems Test Engineer will evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through rigorous testing, logging, and analysis. This role involves creating test environments using both software and hardware tools, developing and executing test procedures, isolating problems, and automating test execution and result parsing. The engineer will also develop application and test content to exercise new features and actively study user experience to enhance customer satisfaction with Qualcomm multimedia solutions across ARM-based chipset products.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through comprehensive testing, logging, and analysis.
• Create and maintain test environments using software and hardware tools.
• Develop detailed test procedures, execute tests, and isolate and troubleshoot problems.
• Design and implement automation systems for test execution and result parsing.
• Develop application and test content to exercise and validate new features.
• Analyze user experience to improve customer satisfaction with Qualcomm multimedia solutions on ARM-based chipsets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in camera features, sensors, and image quality testing.
• Proficient in test strategy development, test planning, and hands-on test execution.
• Excellent test, triage, system-level knowledge, and debugging skills in embedded systems testing.
• Experience with test automation is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a thorough and analytical approach.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Familiarity with ARM-based chipset architectures.
• Knowledge of multimedia solutions and related embedded systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in embedded systems testing, particularly in camera features, sensors, and image quality.
• Experience in test strategy, planning, and execution within embedded environments.

Environment

• Full-time position based in Bangalore.
• Work mode is Work From Office (WFO).
• Typical work setting involves hands-on testing with embedded hardware and software tools.

Salary

• For 1-5 years of experience: up to 20 LPA (INR).
• For 5-8 years of experience: up to 28-30 LPA (INR).
