Job Description – Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering<br /> Experience Required: 3 – 6 years<br /> Industry Preference: EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services)<br /> Role Overview<br /> We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in the EMS industry. The candidate will<br /> be responsible for driving engineering change management, BOM (Bill of Materials) verification and<br /> comparison, and ensuring smooth transition of products from design to mass production. The role demands<br /> strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.<br /> Key Responsibilities<br /> • Manage Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO/PCN) processes and ensure timely<br /> implementation in manufacturing.<br /> • Review, verify, and compare BOMs (Bill of Materials) for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with<br /> customer requirements.<br /> • Validate component alternates, substitutes, and compliance with EMS standards (RoHS/REACH).<br /> • Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities and provide manufacturability feedback to design<br /> teams.<br /> • Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to evaluate component availability, cost, and risk.<br /> • Work with design, quality, and production teams to resolve engineering or manufacturing issues.<br /> • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce defects.<br /> • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, process instructions, and reports.<br /> • Support customer audits and ensure compliance with EMS quality and process standards.<br /> Key Skills & Competencies<br /> • Strong understanding of EMS manufacturing processes (SMT, Through-hole, Box-build).<br /> • Hands-on experience in BOM verification, BOM comparison, and component validation.<br /> • Proficiency in engineering change management systems (ECN/ECO processes).<br /> • Good knowledge of electronic components, PCBA manufacturing, and materials management.<br /> • Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems (SAP, Agile, or equivalent).<br /> • Knowledge of quality standards such as IPC, ISO, RoHS/REACH compliance.<br /> • Analytical, detail-oriented, and good problem-solving skills.<br /> • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration ability.<br /> Qualifications<br /> • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).<br /> • 3–6 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering within EMS companies.<br /> • Certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma (preferred).
