The is a senior role which involves leading Fintech and get to work amongst the<br /> sharpest of minds in the banking fraternity (Indian and global) in Product and<br /> Technology. This is a challenging role which expects the incumbent to work<br /> with constant agility with various teams and deliver the best products in the<br /> space using effective technology platforms.<br /> As Head of Technology, you will Lead and build the engineering team, manage<br /> product engineering, release and deployment across geographies and<br /> work closely with the Product Teams. You will also play an integral role in the<br /> evolution of the architecture and product roadmaps in the rapidly growing<br /> product suite<br /> ● Contribute to next-generation platform architecture vision. Drive and<br /> own multiple technology initiatives for bringing Platform vision to life<br /> ● Ensure platforms are designed for scale, availability and performance<br /> using microservices architecture and as per API first design principles<br /> across geographies<br /> ● Review and recommend improvements to operational processes and<br /> procedures utilizing automation.<br /> ● Responsible for key technical and product decisions.Implement best practices to ensure security and availability - devise<br /> processes and mechanisms to ensure expected uptime of production<br /> applications<br /> ● Maintain technical documentation, architecture references, change<br /> management and reporting<br /> ● Responsible for debugging critical technical issues inside a complex<br /> stack involving spring boot microservices, containers, cloud services,<br /> etc.<br /> ● Work closely with product / project teams as well as clients and help<br /> provide relevant inputs from the engineering team.<br /> ● Partnering closely with product teams to scope out releases and deliver<br /> high quality output.<br /> ● Coordinate and direct project execution, detailing plans to accomplish<br /> goals and directing the integration of technical activities.<br /> ● Collaborating with peers to design and implement new operational<br /> capabilities as well as improving existing toolset<br /> ● From the technology perspective, mentoring other leads in the<br /> organization<br /> ● Forge and instill goals and standards for engineering performance<br /> ● Implementing best practice engineering methods. Mentoring and<br /> supporting the team by reinforcing practices such as Test Driven<br /> Development, pair programming, refactoring, enhanced observability<br /> and documentation<br /> ● Present technical solutions, problem areas, proof of concepts to the<br /> team or wider audience<br /> ● Participate in cross team coordinated development activities<br /> ● Create and deliver on the long term road map for engineering<br /> efficiency.<br /> ● Be the go-to person for non-functional requirements such as scalability,<br /> and performance.<br /> ● Measure and ensure engineering, and product delivery goals are met,<br /> at an acceptable velocity and without trading off quality and<br /> performance<br /> ● Ensure smooth communication channels within the team and with all<br /> stakeholders involved in the product development and delivery process<br /> ● Experience adopting and deploying FOSS tools in production<br /> ● Architecture and technical performance design (and reviews) for each<br /> engineer system<br /> ● Essentially this role entails combining the best of a project manager<br /> AND a technical architect<br /> Team Management:<br /> ● Manage multiple technology delivery teams<br /> ● Lead engineering team(s) to ship high-quality software on predictable<br /> schedules.<br /> ● Managing a team of bright engineers, each of whom is building a<br /> production-ready system for various clients<br /> ● Augment skills and capability of the engineering team by recruiting and<br /> training the members across levels<br /> ● Responsible for coaching, developing, motivating & retaining team<br /> members
