Job Summary

The Analyst II Controllership role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, analysis, review, verification, and reconciliation of various financial records and reports. This position plays a crucial role in summarizing the company's current financial position through the preparation of standard financial reports and routine financial analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the Month End Complex Journals in accordance with the Finance Close Schedules.
  • Apprehend the closing Journals (such as Revenue Accruals, Deferred Revenue, Tax, and VAT) and ensure the appropriateness of the backups provided.
  • Review the Month-End Journal Entries (MJE) during Close and identify the reasonableness and appropriateness of the backups.
  • Prepare backups for Complex Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, including Unbilled Receivables, Deferred Revenue, and Accruals.
  • Liaise with other Finance functions to gather appropriate backup documents.
  • Assist in the closure of reconciling items by understanding their root causes and liaising with other Finance functions for timely resolution.
  • Drive process improvements and standardization activities.
  • Perform Month-End Balance Sheet Commentaries by identifying major drivers for balance movements.
  • Provide independent support for handling internal/external audit data requirements and queries, offering management explanations.
  • Maintain and regularly update process documentation.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports based on requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in General Ledger (GL) Accounting within Controllership or Shared Services in the Service or Manufacturing Industry. Candidates from IT or Telecom sectors are preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong accounting knowledge of principles and concepts.
    • Expertise in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP FICO Module.

Experience

2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function.

Salary

Estimated salary range: ₹550,000.
