Job Summary

As a Software Development Engineer II (Backend, Python) at Zoop Money, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining backend systems that power innovative lending solutions. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Work with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Implement and optimize Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Solid knowledge of ORM frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a startup or product-based technology company.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Awareness of security best practices including OWASP guidelines, authentication, and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, Single Sign-On).

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant backend software development experience, preferably in Python.
• Experience in building scalable backend systems and working with cloud infrastructure.

• Location: Bangalore (HSR Layout).
