Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Officer to lead our organisation's operations and ensure regulatory compliance. The Principal Officer will be responsible for overseeing key functions, including governance, risk management, compliance, and overall organisational leadership. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices. This role is critical to driving the company's success and maintaining its reputation in the industry. Roles and Responsibilities: ➢ Ensure the organization’s full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. ➢ Oversee the implementation of compliance programs and policies across the organization. ➢ Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders. ➢ Develop and implement effective governance frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability within the organization. ➢ Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the organization's operations, ensuring risk mitigation strategies are in place. ➢ Regularly review and update governance and risk management policies in line with industry best practices. ➢ Provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals. ➢ Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute long-term business strategies. ➢ Lead cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives and achieve organizational objectives. ➢ Ensure that all operations adhere to the highest ethical standards and corporate governance principles. ➢ Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and meetings, advocating for the company’s interests. ➢ Develop, implement, and review organizational policies to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. ➢ Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures. ➢ Provide training and support to staff on regulatory changes and compliance matters. ➢ Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the board of directors and senior management on compliance, risk, and operational performance. ➢ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance and risk management activities. ➢ Ensure timely submission of all regulatory filings and reports. Experience and Qualifications: ➢ 5-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in compliance, risk management, or corporate governance. ➢ In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. ➢ Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and operational oversight. ➢ Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. ➢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. ➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. ➢ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. ➢ High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and transparency. ➢ Experience with FIU India is considered an added advantage.
