Website</p> <p>https://www.arihantcapital.com</p> <p>Role Overview:</p> <p>Arihant Capital Markets Ltd. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the Business Development function of its</p> <p>Merchant Banking Division. The candidate will be responsible for driving origination, client acquisition, deal</p> <p>structuring, and execution across capital market and advisory products including IPOs, FPOs, Rights Issues, Open</p> <p>Offers, Delisting, Buybacks, Valuations, and other SEBI-regulated transactions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>1. Strategic Leadership:</p> <p>&bull; Define and implement business development strategies to expand the Merchant Banking footprint.</p> <p>&bull; Lead the client acquisition strategy focused on mid-sized corporates, SMEs, and family-owned businesses.</p> <p>&bull; Build and manage a high-performing business development team.</p> <p>2. Client Origination &amp; Deal Sourcing:</p> <p>&bull; Identify and onboard potential clients for IPOs, FPOs, Rights Issues, and M&amp;A advisory.</p> <p>&bull; Maintain strong relationships with promoters, CFOs, and key decision-makers.</p> <p>&bull; Build strategic alliances with intermediaries, law firms, accounting firms, and PE/VC players for deal sourcing.3. Transaction Execution:</p> <p>&bull; Partner with the execution team to support due diligence, documentation, regulatory approvals, and listing</p> <p>process.</p> <p>&bull; Oversee proposal creation, pitch decks, and mandate documentation.</p> <p>4. Regulatory &amp; Compliance Awareness:</p> <p>&bull; Stay updated on SEBI, MCA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.</p> <p>&bull; Ensure client mandates are in line with regulatory norms.</p> <p>5. Revenue &amp; Target Management:</p> <p>&bull; Achieve business development targets and contribute to the division&rsquo;s revenue.</p> <p>&bull; Track performance metrics lead continuous improvement in deal conversion rates.</p> <p>Candidate Profile</p> <p>Professional Experience</p> <p>&bull; MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA with 12&ndash;18 years of relevant experience in Merchant Banking / Investment</p> <p>Banking.</p> <p>&bull; Proven track record of sourcing and closing capital market deals (IPO/FPO/Buyback/Delisting).</p> <p>&bull; Sound understanding of SEBI ICDR, LODR, SAST, Takeover, and Listing Regulations.</p> <p>&bull; Strong client network in corporate India, particularly mid-cap and SME sectors.</p> <p>&bull; Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.</p> <p>Core Competencies</p> <p>&bull; Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.</p> <p>&bull; Deep understanding of brand measurement, segmentation, and positioning frameworks.</p> <p>&bull; Creative sensibility with sharp judgment on narrative and design.</p> <p>&bull; Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.</p> <p>&bull; Data fluency and comfort working with market intelligence tools.</p>
