Job Summary
The Junior Scientist will support the research, development, evaluation, and scientific validation of dermatology, skincare, haircare, cosmeceutical, and nutraceutical products within an integrated dermatology clinic and product development environment. The role involves formulation support, scientific literature review, ingredient evaluation, clinical evidence generation, product testing, data analysis, and scientific documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with dermatologists, formulators, research staff, manufacturing partners, and regulatory consultants to develop innovative and evidence-based products.
Responsibilities

Product Development Support
- Assist in the development of various dermatology and cosmetic products, including moisturizers, sunscreens, anti-acne products, depigmenting formulations, anti-aging products, hair growth products, and nutraceuticals.
- Evaluate active ingredients, excipients, and novel delivery systems.
- Participate in formulation discussions with manufacturing and R&D partners.
- Support product optimization and reformulation projects.

Scientific Literature Review & Evidence Generation
- Conduct literature reviews on ingredients, formulations, disease pathways, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate scientific evidence supporting ingredient efficacy and safety.
- Prepare evidence summaries for product development decisions.
- Monitor new developments in dermatology, aesthetics, and cosmetic science.

Clinical and Product Evaluation Studies
- Support planning and execution of product performance studies.
- Assist with protocol preparation and study documentation.
- Coordinate collection of clinical outcome data and participant feedback.
- Support efficacy and safety assessments under investigator supervision.

Data Analysis & Research Support
- Maintain research databases and study records.
- Perform data cleaning, quality checks, and preliminary analyses.
- Prepare summary reports and presentation materials.
- Assist in interpretation of study findings and generation of product claims supported by evidence.

Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Compile product dossiers and technical documentation.
- Assist in reviewing product labels, claims, and marketing materials for scientific accuracy.
- Support regulatory submissions and product registration activities where applicable.
- Maintain compliance with applicable quality and documentation standards.

Scientific Writing
- Prepare product monographs, technical reports, scientific summaries, product training materials, research presentations, and internal development reports.
- Contribute to publications, posters, and conference abstracts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with dermatologists, clinical research teams, product development teams, manufacturing partners, and marketing/medical affairs personnel.
- Participate in new product ideation and innovation meetings.
Qualifications
- Education: Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from a recognized institution.

- Experience:
- Essential: 0–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical, skincare, nutraceutical, or clinical research environments.
- Preferred: Experience in dermatology, cosmetic science, formulation development, product testing, or clinical research; exposure to product development lifecycle activities; experience working with contract manufacturers or formulation laboratories. Fresh M.Pharm graduates with strong academic credentials and research experience may also be considered.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of SPSS, R, clinical data management systems, formulation development, and cosmetic ingredient databases.
- Familiarity with regulatory documentation.
Experience
- 0-3 years relevant experience in the specified fields.
