Job Summary
The Senior Medical Advisor in Oncology & Haematology will provide medical and scientific leadership within the Oncology therapy area. This role is essential for driving impactful outcomes in patient care and supporting business growth through strategic medical support and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and scientific support to business units, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and medical information teams.
- Lead medical input into brand plans, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance in promotional materials.
- Support marketing and sales teams through product training, scientific insights, and engagements with advisory boards.
- Collaborate with global and regional medical affairs teams to align strategy and share best practices.
- Manage study development programs, including local studies, non-interventional studies (NIS), and investigator-initiated research (IIR), ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Build and strengthen relationships with thought leaders, medical societies, and associations.
- Respond to external scientific queries and represent the organization at congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.
- Support pharmacovigilance, safety management, and compliance with relevant codes of conduct.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MBBS + MD, Pharmacology).
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Advisor in Oncology and Haematology.
- Strong expertise in the relevant disease area with experience in medical strategy for specialty therapies.
- Exposure to clinical trial management and the ability to engage with investigators and key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker, proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with market access strategies.
- Knowledge of health economics and outcomes research.
- Familiarity with regulatory processes and standards in clinical research.
Experience
- 3+ years in a relevant position, particularly within Oncology and Hematology sectors.
