Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level SAP BASIS Consultant to join our team. The consultant will be responsible for supporting and maintaining SAP systems, ensuring smooth operations, performance optimization, and compliance with security policies.

Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration

  • Perform daily SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration.
  • Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of SAP systems (NetWeaver, ECC, S/4HANA, etc.).
  • Execute batch job monitoring, transports, client copies, and system refreshes.
  • Provide user support and resolve system performance issues.

• System Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor SAP system performance and implement corrective measures.
  • Optimize SAP instances and databases for high performance.
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

• Security & Compliance

  • Maintain user roles, profiles, and authorizations.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

• Support & Troubleshooting

  • Resolve issues related to SAP environment (application, database, network, interfaces).
  • Collaborate with functional teams for root cause analysis and incident resolution.

• Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with cross-functional teams (Basis, Functional, Development).
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation.
  • Support upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in SAP Basis administration.

• Technical Expertise:

  • SAP NetWeaver, ECC, S/4HANA installations, upgrades, and patching.
  • Strong database administration knowledge (SAP HANA, Oracle, etc.) on Linux/Unix OS.
  • Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Certifications: SAP BASIS certification preferred.

• Tools & Technologies:

  • SAP Solution Manager, Transport Management, Fiori, monitoring tools (CCMS, SolMan).

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, ability to work independently and within teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Cloud Platform or HANA Cloud.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and cloud solutions.

Experience

3–5 years of relevant experience in SAP Basis administration.

Environment

The position is based in Pune and is offered as a contract role.
