Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for implementing and scaling secure, enterprise-ready cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure. This role involves provisioning and updating infrastructure to support experiments, proof of concepts, and demonstrations for engineering and innovation teams, while ensuring adherence to cloud security practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement and scale secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Provision and update infrastructure for experiments, proof of concepts, and demos.
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines and environments for serverless and container-based applications.
- Support the delivery and sustainability of secure cloud environments, including security governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Design and implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to track infrastructure health and performance.
- Collaborate with Cloud Solution Architects, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and platform engineers to create automated cloud solutions.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience working with AWS and Azure in multi-account/multi-subscription enterprise environments.
- Excellent understanding of cloud security practices, including KMS/Azure Key Vault, Secrets Manager, encryption, and IAM/Azure RBAC.
- Expertise with AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zones, and foundational governance frameworks (OU/Management Groups, SCPs, Azure Policies).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudFormation, and API Gateway, as well as Azure services like Azure Functions and Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in scripting/automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Golang.
- Skilled in using cloud SDKs, CLIs, and APIs for automation of provisioning, security, and lifecycle operations.
- Experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus (nice to have).
- Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization practices using AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or third-party tools.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering.
