Country Head (Director) - Supply Chain and Logistics

Job Summary

The Country Head (Director), Supply Chain and Logistics will be pivotal in designing, building, and scaling the supply chain and logistics functions as they are expanding their operations. This role demands a strategic thinker who can harmoniously blend operational efficiency with business growth, focusing particularly on the Tier 3 and rural markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end logistics operations, including sourcing, movement, warehousing, inventory management, and first-, mid-, and last-mile delivery.
• Design and build a scalable, pan-India logistics network aligned with business expansion across multiple states.
• Establish and optimize warehousing infrastructure, distribution hubs, and logistics processes from the ground up.
• Drive operational excellence through well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), performance metrics, and continuous process improvements.
• Own cost structures across logistics, identifying opportunities for optimization without compromising service quality.
• Hire, lead, and scale large multi-location teams, including warehouse staff, delivery agents, and regional operations managers.
• Build strong systems for demand planning, inventory control, and order fulfillment in collaboration with procurement, technology, and telesales teams.
• Track, analyze, and improve key performance metrics such as delivery turnaround time (TAT), fill rates, cost per order, and return rates.
• Partner closely with the Founder and leadership team on strategy, expansion planning, and execution.
• Ensure high levels of reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all logistics operations.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations.
• Strong experience in e-commerce.
• Proven track record of building and scaling logistics systems and networks from scratch.
• Deep experience managing multi-location operations and large field teams.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.
• Experience working in high-growth or startup environments is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively across operating regions.

Experience

• 12–15 years of logistics, supply chain management, or operations experience, with specific expertise in FMCG, agri-tech, and distribution sectors.

Environment

• This position is based in Bengaluru, and requires 5 days of in-office work. The role involves extensive collaboration with the leadership team and operational oversight across multiple states.
