Job Description: General Manager -  Accounts (Group Companies) Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Mumbai, India Reports To: Group CFO <div align="center" style="text-align:center"> <hr align="center" size="1" width="100%" /></div> Position Summary: The Head – Accounts will oversee and manage the accounts function for BDR Pharmaceuticals and its group companies, including the Head Office, manufacturing plants, and subsidiaries. This position entails end-to-end accountability for all accounts and finance activities. The ideal candidate will lead a large team, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, ensure timely completion of audit (statutory/ internal), ensure group companies are able to tap available government subsidies for manufacturing setup & capable of driving process improvements across the group companies <div align="center" style="text-align:center"> <hr align="center" size="1" width="100%" /></div> Key Responsibilities: Accounts Management: <ul> <li>Lead and manage the accounts function for the entire group, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all entities, including Head Office, plants, and subsidiaries.</li> <li>Supervise and ensure timely preparation of financial statements, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.</li> <li>Oversee group-level consolidation of accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards (IND AS/IFRS).</li> <li>Ensure timely completion of statutory audits(Big 4), tax audits, and other regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.</li> <li>Ensure capitalization of available government subsidies for manufacturing setups. </li> </ul> Compliance and Governance: <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including income tax, GST, and other applicable laws.</li> <li>Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for smooth execution of audits and inspections.</li> <li>Implement robust internal controls to safeguard the financial health of the organization.</li> </ul> Team Leadership: <ul> <li>Build and lead a high-performing team across multiple locations, ensuring seamless coordination among Head Office, plants, and subsidiaries.</li> <li>Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical and leadership capabilities.</li> <li>Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the accounts team.</li> </ul> Process Improvement: <ul> <li>Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the accounts function.</li> <li>Drive the implementation of SAP systems and ensure effective utilization across all group entities.</li> <li>Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the performance of the accounts function.</li> </ul> Strategic Support: <ul> <li>Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the Group CFO and senior leadership.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounts activities with organizational objectives.</li> <li>Contribute to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.</li> </ul> <div align="center" style="text-align:center"> <hr align="center" size="1" width="100%" /></div> Qualifications and Experience: Education: <ul> <li>Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (ICWAI) is mandatory.</li> </ul> Experience: <ul> <li>Minimum 15+ years of experience in accounts and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.</li> <li>Proven experience managing large teams in a multi-entity, multi-location setup.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (IND AS) and regulatory requirements.</li> </ul> Skills: <ul> <li>Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.</li> <li>Proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Excel.</li> <li>Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.</li> </ul> <div align="center" style="text-align:center"> <hr align="center" size="1" width="100%" /></div> Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): <ul> <li>Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.</li> <li>Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Efficiency of processes and adherence to budgets.</li> </ul> Team performance and capability development.
