Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Postgres Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in PostgreSQL database management and development, ensuring efficient performance and security of our database systems. This role is critical for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to meet organizational requirements.
• Create and modify database components, including functions, stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions.
• Perform table partitioning and indexing to optimize database performance.
• Address and resolve database performance and security issues.
• Optimize SQL queries for enhanced efficiency and performance.
• Conduct database backups and restoration processes.
• Manage SQL Jobs effectively and troubleshoot SQL error logs.
• Implement database scripts and batch files for SQL queries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management with a strong focus on PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in database design and implementation techniques.
• Understanding of database performance optimization and security best practices.
• Ability to create and manage database functions and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle SQL error logs.
• Experience with database backups and restoration procedures.
• Familiarity with batch file implementation for SQL queries.
• Strong analytical skills to optimize database performance.

• Experience with other database management systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools.

Experience

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in PostgreSQL development and database management.

Salary

• Expected salary range is between 10 L to 12 L per annum.
