Job Summary

The RPA Business Analyst will be crucial in translating business needs into automated solutions by leveraging various automation technologies. This role will partner with IT and business users across departments to understand and document business processes, ensuring alignment with RPA initiatives. The ideal candidate will facilitate the development and implementation of automated solutions, actively participating in the entire lifecycle of RPA projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into solutions using automation technologies like UiPath, Smartsheets, and Airtable.
• Collaborate with IT and various business teams (Finance, Audit, Marketing, Operations) to map and document business processes for RPA solutions.
• Gather functional, usability, reliability, and performance requirements for the enhancement of software systems.
• Create detailed Process Definition Documents (PDD), as-is and to-be flows, and system integration diagrams.
• Partner with RPA Solution Architects to design the process architecture following industry best practices and standards.
• Design and build automation solutions, considering input/output criteria, logic, error handling, and test scenarios.
• Conduct data and system analysis meetings, developing system design documents and project plans.
• Create test plans, test cases, and datasets for unit and system integration testing, ensuring compliance with PDD and architectural requirements.
• Present completed solutions to stakeholders and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing training as necessary.
• Monitor bots during the Hypercare phase, lead bug fixes with the RPA development team, and manage change control processes.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the RPA team, leading incident resolution and process review meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a Business-related field.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years overall experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA).
  • 3+ years of experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in designing RPA solutions using UiPath.
  • Familiarity with building automations in Smartsheets and Airtable is a plus.
  • Recommended but not required: software development skills, experience with APIs, and automated testing tools.
• Certifications:
  • UIPath "Automation Business Analyst Associate" and "Automation Business Analyst Professional" certifications required.
  • Recommended but not required: UIPath "Associate Automation Developer" or "Automation Developer Professional" certifications.
• Process Knowledge:
  • Understanding of business processes in SAP Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and HR.
  • Prior experience with enterprise software tools such as UltiPro, Coupa, and Salesforce is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience in meeting and presenting results to stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete tasks within designated timelines.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in related roles is preferred, with emphasis on RPA and project management.
