Job Summary

The Portfolio Strategist will contribute to achieving financial targets and business composition goals by guiding Wealth Managers, developing investment strategies, and ensuring client satisfaction with tailored investment solutions. This role focuses on building strong client relationships while managing risk and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to achieving financial targets and business goals for the organization.
  • Achieve ROI that surpasses the benchmark index for the portfolio while managing acceptable risk levels.
  • Guide Wealth Managers on the latest products to enhance their sales pitches.
  • Engage in internal discussions to collaboratively develop house views across asset classes and create effective investment strategies.
  • Propose new product concepts to the Investment Committee.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining a portfolio aligned with client risk tolerance and financial goals.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships focusing on high retention through consistent performance and transparent communication.
  • Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews with clients and provide updates on portfolio performance and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications:
    • Holding or pursuing a chartered program, preferably Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
    • Required NISM Certifications (5A, 21A) or any other as prescribed.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in investment management, specifically for the High-Network Individual (HNI) segment in Wealth Management.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, economic principles, and portfolio theory.
    • Ability to analyze complex financial data, interpret market trends, and make informed investment decisions.
    • Knowledge of relevant investment laws and regulations.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain investment strategies and address client inquiries.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships based on trust and a deep understanding of their needs.

Experience
