Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Tester to join our growing team. You will work closely with product managers and developers to test applications, diagnose issues, and ensure bug-free releases. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments along with domain expertise in investment and financial products.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product requirements and create clear, comprehensive, and reusable test cases.
• Perform manual testing across web and mobile platforms, covering functionality, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Use Postman to test and validate REST APIs, including status codes and data integrity.
• Utilize browser dev tools (Network/Console tabs) to diagnose and differentiate frontend and backend issues.
• Test features related to wealth products like Mutual Funds, Stocks, PMS, AIFs,etc — ensuring accuracy in portfolio reporting, return calculations, and product logic.
• Log, track, and manage bugs using JIRA or similar tools, ensuring detailed reporting and follow-up.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure testing aligns with business goals.
• Contribute to product quality during development sprints and release cycles.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and experience using Postman.
• Proficiency with browser dev tools to investigate API responses, network failures, and console errors.
• Ability to classify issues accurately as frontend or backend/API-related.
• Experience writing structured and reusable test cases based on user stories and product requirements.
• Familiarity with investment products like Mutual Funds, Stocks, PMS, and AIFs, including return types (absolute, CAGR, XIRR), NAVs, folios, and transaction types.
• Ability to validate financial calculations and interpret domain-specific terms like SIP, AUM, benchmarks, drawdowns, etc.
• Hands on experience with bug tracking systems like JIRA and agile development practices.

Preferred Tools & Skills

• Tools: Chrome DevTools, JIRA
• Good to have: Postman, Basic SQL, Testing automation tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies
