<div>Position: Manager – Non-NBS<br />

<div>About Us:<br />
Asvata is a pioneering organization dedicated to carbon offset projects aimed at reducing<br />
greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable development. Managing the projects<br />
of GHG crediting programs for validation and verification cycles, specifically the VCS, Gold<br />
Standard and GCC associated programs. We are seeking a skilled Technical (non-NBS)<br />
executive with 4+ years of experience to join our team and work under the guidance of the<br />
Head – Operations.</div>
<div>Key Responsibilities:<br />
Extensive working experience in GHG crediting programs such as the Clean<br />
Development Mechanism (CDM), Gold Standard, VCS, and SD VISta, in technical<br />
roles is required. This includes site visits, client meetings, and discussions for initial<br />
project assessments, covering a range of projects such as Renewable Energy,<br />
Energy Efficiency, Waste Management, Plastic Waste Reduction, Community<br />
Development, and other eligible industrial projects under different mechanisms.<br />
Supporting the operation heads in project conceptualization, planning,<br />
implementation, and monitoring to adhere to the guidelines outlined under the<br />
specific GHG crediting programs.<br />
Lead and mentor team of project execution and delivery professionals.<br />
Assisting in new business development and concepts through high-quality research<br />
and analysis to support in decision-making process.<br />
Work alongside the Head – Operations to handle project validation and verification<br />
audits to address non-conformities and queries under various voluntary and<br />
compliance mechanisms.<br />
Undertaking screening of the project documents and ensuring their quality and<br />
consistency throughout the project cycles of validation and verification.<br />
Support the Head – Operations implementing project emission reduction verification<br />
audits to secure the successful issuance of Emission Reductions (ERs) under<br />
various GHG mitigating programs.<br />
Developing frameworks, methodologies, tools, models, questionnaires, and formats<br />
essential for the GHG standard program and associated SDG components.<br />
Developing quality training modules and delivering them to internal and external team<br />
members on the topics of carbon program concepts and technical requirements and<br />
guidelines.</div>
<div> Mentoring and handholding the trainees, associates, and senior associates for<br />
effective functioning in their roles.<br />
Contributing to the development of knowledge, capabilities and skills of the team.<br />
In-depth understanding of the carbon markets, social impact, and SDGs.<br />
Experience/exposure to community and energy efficiency programs is a plus.<br />
Experience in methodology development is preferred.</div>

clearly and concisely articulate their communications when interacting with a wide<br />
range of stakeholders across various levels including Heads of Departments across<br />
organisation.<br />
Ability to work with teams spread across different locations in India and other<br />
geographical location if required.<br />
A passion to actively help the rural poor in less developed countries in line with the<br />
UN Sustainable Development Goals.</div>
<div>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<br />
To be considered for the position of Manager Technical – non-NBS, candidates should have<br />
the following qualifications and experience:<br />
- Master / Bachelor&#39;s degree or higher in environmental science, sustainability,<br />
engineering, or a related field.<br />
- 4+ years of experience in implementing projects in CDM, Verra – VCS, GS, GCC or<br />
related carbon offset standards.<br />
- Familiarity with international standards, guidelines, and methodologies related to<br />
carbon offset projects.<br />
- Basic understanding of voluntary carbon markets, carbon accounting, and project<br />
certification processes.<br />
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.<br />
- Willingness to travel to project sites and engage with relevant stakeholders as<br />
needed.</div>
