Job Summary
The GCP Cloud Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing client engagements and overseeing Cloud Platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and experience leading a team of Infrastructure Engineers. This position is suited for Infrastructure Administrators who have transitioned into Cloud and DevOps engineering roles.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support client engagements involving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Lead a team of Infrastructure Engineers and guide them in best practices.
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure on GCP, including Compute, Networking, and Database Services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and implement GitOps practices.
- Develop and execute scripts in shell or Python for automation and orchestration tasks.
- Ensure security integration within CI/CD pipelines and manage compliance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Experience: 9+ years in infrastructure management and cloud engineering.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in GCP services: Compute (Google Compute Engine, App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud Functions), Networking (VPC, Cloud CDN, Cloud Load Balancing), and Database Services (Cloud SQL).
- Proficiency in GCP Management Tools (Cloud Operations Suite, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging).
- Expertise in infrastructure provisioning and automation using Terraform.
- Proficiency in shell scripting or Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including deployment strategies and cluster operations.
- Knowledge of security practices in CI/CD using tools like Snyk, Trivy, or Aqua Security.
- Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer, or GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer are mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and experience with CI/CD tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Exposure to container security tools such as kube-bench or Falco.
- Experience with source code management tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
Experience
- Required: Minimum of 9 years relevant experience in Cloud and DevOps environments with a focus on Google Cloud services.
Environment
- Location: Hybrid setup across Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai.
- Candidates may work remotely or from the office, as per project requirements.
