Job Summary

The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of customers and assessing their ability to repay debts. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the company's financial health by developing and implementing credit policies, managing business relationships, monitoring credit, and generating financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Credit Assessment and Risk Analysis: Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers using financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine credit limits, terms, and conditions.
  • Credit Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement credit policies and procedures that align with ABB's financial goals, including guidelines for credit limits, payment terms, and negotiations.
  • Business Relationship Management: Work closely with ABB's Collection Team and various business units to build strong relationships, resolve credit-related issues, and ensure timely payment.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Finance Teams: Collaborate with the sales team to evaluate potential customers, provide guidance on credit terms, and work with the Collection Team to manage credit risks and cash flow.
  • Conduct Credit Committee Meetings: Prepare for and conduct periodic credit committee meetings and implement action items from these meetings.
  • Credit Monitoring and Collections: Monitor customer accounts for timely payments, manage overdue accounts, send reminders, and make collection calls as necessary.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on credit-related metrics, such as accounts receivable aging and collection efficiency, to help management assess overall credit risk.
  • Perform Annual Review of All Customers: Review customer accounts annually to set revised credit limits, risk categories, and credit check rules.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Credit Management, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Knowledge of SAP is a significant plus
  • Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible shift timings.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in risk assessment and management.
  • Familiarity with credit analysis software and tools.

Experience

  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in credit management or related fields.

Environment

  • This position is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and requires working a full-time schedule. Flexibility in working hours is expected.
