Assistant Manager - D2C Lead (P&L) | Scrabble & Jigsaw
Job Description
Role Overview Own and drive end-to-end D2C P&L for the brand’s Shopify channel. This is a revenue + profitability role with direct ownership of growth, contribution margins, and operational efficiency. The role will lead cross-functional execution across performance marketing, pricing, and D2C operations.
Key Responsibilities

P&L Ownership Own revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, and CAC:LTV targets Drive month-on-month growth with clear forecasting and variance tracking Identify and fix margin leakages across marketing, logistics, and discounts

Performance Marketing Leadership Manage Meta & Google through internal team / agencies Define CAC targets, scaling strategy, and budget allocation Drive creative testing velocity and funnel optimization Ensure daily monitoring of ROAS, MER, blended CAC

Pricing & Offer Strategy Own pricing architecture (MRP, discounting, bundles, offers) Optimize for AOV, CVR, and contribution margin (not just top-line) Run structured experiments on pricing and promotions

Shopify & Funnel Optimization Own website performance: CVR, AOV, bounce rate, checkout drop-offs Work with ops/tech on UX, speed, landing pages, and CRO experiments Build and optimize conversion funnels (paid → landing → checkout)

Forecasting & Inventory Planning Demand forecasting aligned with marketing plans Work with supply chain to ensure optimal inventory turns Avoid stockouts/overstock while maintaining growth

Team & Vendor Management Lead D2C ops, performance marketing, and retention functions Manage agencies and ensure output quality + accountability Build reporting systems and weekly performance cadences

Retention & Lifecycle Drive repeat rate via email, WhatsApp, and remarketing Own retention revenue % and lifecycle metrics
Ideal Candidate Profile Has independently driven P&L for a D2C brand on Shopify Strong understanding of performance marketing (Meta + Google) Deep comfort with numbers: CAC, LTV, contribution margins, cohorts Experience managing agencies and internal teams Hands-on operator — not just strategy, but execution 3–6 years experience in D2C / e-commerce
