

A leading global investment platform is looking for an Analyst / Junior Associate to join its COO Office in Bengaluru. The role will work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, operational priorities, and firm-building projects for the India platform.
The position offers broad exposure to strategy, operations, private markets, and senior stakeholder management, with the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that contribute to the growth and scaling of the Bengaluru office.
Own and execute strategic initiatives end-to-end, including problem framing, primary research, analysis, recommendations, and senior stakeholder presentations.
Build and maintain benchmarking databases covering peer operating models, team structures, reporting lines, and functional scope through primary research.
Track strategic initiatives and workstreams, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and key actions.
Monitor cross-functional priorities relevant to the COO Office, including operating model changes, technology, data, service providers, and other firm-wide initiatives.
Prepare strategic presentations, dashboards, and written notes for senior leadership.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of all reports and presentations, with data appropriately sourced, reconciled, and validated.
Develop materials for internal and external stakeholder meetings, including senior leadership visits and presentations.
Maintain recurring reports covering headcount, hiring pipeline, initiative status, and office performance metrics.
Support talent acquisition for the Bengaluru office, including headhunter management, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
Develop and update assessment materials including case studies, LBO exercises, question banks, and model answers.
Support the onboarding of global functions into the Bengaluru office, including headcount planning and transition tracking.
Support employer branding, culture, diversity, sustainability, and social impact initiatives in India.
Strong academic credentials with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
2–46 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, or a similar analytical role within financial services.
Strong understanding of private equity fundamentals, including fund structures, LP/GP economics, fund lifecycle, fee mechanics, deal processes, and investment committee workflows.
Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create structured, narrative-driven, and visually polished presentations.
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build financial models, benchmarking databases, cost models, and scenario analyses.
Experience conducting primary research through expert calls, peer outreach, and conversations with external stakeholders.
Ability to translate research and data into clear recommendations and actionable outputs.
Comfortable working across European, Asian, and Indian time zones.
Educational background in BTech, BSc, MSc, MBA, or equivalent.
Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with changing priorities.
Confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders, including Managing Directors and C-level executives.
Strong ownership and ability to drive workstreams independently.
Ability to identify problems proactively and develop practical solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills, responsiveness, and adaptability.
High attention to detail and a strong bias towards accuracy and quality of output.
2–6 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, or financial services.
Experience in primary research, financial modelling, benchmarking, or strategic analysis is preferred.
