People Operations & Talent Acquisition Associate

Job Summary
The People Operations & Talent Acquisition Associate will be responsible for building and managing the people, hiring, administrative, and employee operations engine for the company. This hands-on role encompasses end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, employee documentation, attendance and leave tracking, payroll coordination, office administration, vendor coordination, and employee engagement. The role requires someone who can operate independently in an early-stage environment, bring structure to day-to-day people operations, support fast hiring across functions, and ensure that basic HR and administrative processes are accurate, responsive, and scalable.
Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Hiring
- Partner with leadership and hiring managers to understand hiring needs across functions such as growth, creative, product, NPD, finance, operations, and support roles.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process, including job description creation, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate follow-ups, and offer closure.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, consultants, referrals, campus networks, and other relevant hiring channels.
- Maintain hiring trackers, interview pipelines, and candidate databases with clear status updates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from offer acceptance to onboarding, documentation, confirmation, role changes, and exit formalities.
- Prepare and maintain employee records, offer letters, appointment letters, employment agreements, NDAs, and other HR documents.

Payroll, Compliance & Coordination
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leaves, reimbursements, deductions, joining/exits, and consultant payouts.
- Support statutory and HR compliance documentation, including relevant employee-related requirements.

Admin & Office Operations
- Manage day-to-day office administration, vendor coordination, and workplace support.
- Track company assets issued to employees, including laptops, devices, and other equipment.

Employee Engagement & Culture
- Act as the first point of contact for basic employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, and documentation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and ensure a responsive employee experience.

Process Building & Reporting
- Create and maintain structured trackers for hiring, attendance, payroll inputs, employee records, and admin tasks.
- Identify gaps in HR/admin processes and suggest improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 – 5 years in HR operations, talent acquisition, or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience managing recruitment and employee documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset and ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a startup, D2C, consumer, e-commerce, health & wellness, FMCG, or agency environment.
- Familiarity with job portals, LinkedIn sourcing, ATS tools, or HRMS platforms.
- Basic understanding of payroll coordination and statutory compliance.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in HR operations, talent acquisition, and admin management.
