India Retailing+2ETRetail.com+2 The company is now scaling its offline footprint.<br /> Role Purpose:<br /> To lead DailyObjects’ retail expansion efforts—identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing new store locations—to build an omnichannel experience that complements and enhances our online strengths. Drive growth through offline presence, ensure profitability of new stores, and maintain the brand’s aesthetic & customer experience consistency across physical touchpoints.<br /> Key Responsibilities:<br /> Function<br /> Responsibilities<br /> Strategy & Planning<br /> • Define retail expansion targets (number of stores, locations, formats) aligned with company growth goals. • Develop market entry strategies for offline channels; map priority markets / catchments – both within NCR and other tier-1 / tier-2 Indian cities.<br /> Site Identification & Evaluation<br /> • Scout and shortlist potential retail locations: malls, high streets, airports, experiential pop-ups. • Conduct feasibility studies: footfall analysis, catchment demographics, competition mapping, projection of sales vs. cost (rent, fit-out, operations).<br /> Negotiation & Lease Management<br /> • Liaise with landlords, mall managements, and real estate brokers. • Negotiate lease agreements, rental terms, fit-out allowances and other commercial incentives favorable to DailyObjects.<br /> Function<br /> Responsibilities<br /> • Ensure lease documentation, legal compliance, and cost-effective terms.<br /> Cross-Functional Execution<br /> • Work with design, merchandizing, supply chain, operations, visual merchandising & branding teams to ensure store set-up is timely, on‐brand & within budget. • Manage the rollout process end-to-end: site handover, store layout, technology installations, staff training, opening event etc.<br /> Performance & Profitability<br /> • Track store metrics: revenue vs budget, store profitability, same-store growth, cost controls. • Define KPIs for expansion initiatives and ensure projects meet ROI thresholds. • Monitor and optimize operational costs, rental efficiency, inventory turnover.<br /> Stakeholder Management & Network Building<br /> • Build relationships with real estate consultants, malls, landlords, local authorities. • Coordinate with legal, finance and compliance teams for approvals and auditing. • Work with marketing/brand teams to ensure offline stores communicate the brand value and customer experience.<br /> Required Experience & Qualifications:<br /><br /> 7+ years of work experience in retail expansion, real estate acquisitions, or business development for physical retail stores.<br /><br /> Strong track record of opening and scaling stores across multiple locations or cities.<br /><br /> Deep understanding of retail real estate landscape in NCR and other Indian metro / tier-2 / tier-3 cities.<br /><br /> Experience in negotiating leases, commercial agreements; familiarity with legal & regulatory frameworks.<br /><br /> Good financial acumen: ability to build business cases, forecast P&L, analyze ROI, control cost levers.<br /><br /> Cross-functional orientation: collaborating with operations, design, supply chain, marketing etc.<br /><br /> Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation & networking skills.
