Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – Stores & Logistics to lead end-to-end store operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will manage inventory operations, material planning, logistics coordination, and SAP transactions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound material receipts, unloading, physical verification, Goods Receipt Note (GRN), and storage activities.
- Execute Goods Receipt (GR), Goods Issue (GI), Stock Transfer Orders (STO), and inventory transactions through SAP.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO, FEFO, Kanban, and other inventory control practices.
- Conduct daily perpetual inventory checks, cycle counting, quarterly stock-taking, and annual inventory audits.
- Maintain stock accuracy and manage inventory variance within defined targets.
- Monitor Min-Max inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Procurement teams.
- Manage inbound, outbound, dispatch, reverse logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization, material handling, and storage efficiency.
- Drive compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in SAP, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Lean, or Logistics will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- 10 – 15 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Operations.
- Strong experience in Automotive, Auto Components, Electric Vehicles (EV), or Manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on experience in SAP MM, WM, SD, and ERP systems.
- Expertise in Inventory Control, Material Planning, MRP, Cycle Counting, and Stock Reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, Kanban, Just-In-Time (JIT), Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Kaizen.
- Familiarity with warehouse audits, inventory accuracy, and compliance management.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience
- 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in Stores, Warehouse Management, Logistics, and Supply Chain Operations.
Environment
- The role is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, and typically involves working in a manufacturing environment.
