Role Overview-

Join Lloyds Metals & Energy's greenfield data department build amid explosive post-merger

expansion. Own and design end-to-end data platforms across 8 disparate sources (SAP +

Microsoft stack), enforce foundational quality/governance, and hire/build the team from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect scalable data platforms integrating cloud (Azure/AWS/Databricks) + on-prem systems

• Lead Agile/Scrum data teams; scope/prioritize projects with plant managers, senior leaders,

vendors.

• Implement data quality, lineage, governance, security frameworks for industrial ops (MES/

SCADA/ERP).

• Navigate rigid hierarchies, factory mindset; politically savvy influence without authority.

• Hire and mentor the department.

• Design end-to-end data platforms across 8 disparate sources (SAP + Microsoft stack), enforce

foundational quality/governance, and hire/build the team from scratch.

Must-Have Experience-

• 5-10 years as Data Architect/Lead Data Engineer delivering full platforms (not pipelines).

• Proven Agile leadership; hybrid cloud/ on-prem (SAP, Microsoft Fabric/Azure, Databricks nice-

to-have).

• Industrial/manufacturing/mining/energy exposure (plant floor data, OEE, predictive

maintenance).

• Strong stakeholder management-translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
