Job Summary

The AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud services, particularly those hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This position requires an experienced candidate to ensure the performance of cloud architectures and services aligns with industry standards while contributing effectively to the team's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, and others for maximum efficiency and low latency.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues utilizing tools like Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
• Develop automation scripts in Bash and Python to streamline operations and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams using GitLab and GitHub for CI/CD processes.
• Oversee Kubernetes cluster management with Kubectl and Helm, ensuring smooth deployments and operations.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and more.
  • High proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong scripting abilities in Bash and Python.
  • Familiarity with Go programming language.
  • Expertise in using AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes management using Kubectl and Helm.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab and GitHub.
• Knowledge of on-call management using PagerDuty and performance testing with Blaze Meter.

Experience

• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in cloud services, specifically with AWS.
