Job Summary
We are looking for a Qualified Architect with 18 to 20 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use projects. This role involves enhancing relationships with existing clients and exploring new business development opportunities in Bangalore and Chennai. The candidate will perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing, and overseeing the construction documentation. Additionally, the candidate should lead and mentor a team of architects and technicians to achieve design deliverables in line with project needs.
Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationship
- Develop strategies to maximize revenue and ensure high top-line growth.
- Manage annual capital and operating expense budgets for the vertical.
- Nurture partnerships, ensuring client retention and profitability in the commercial sector.
- Identify and drive new avenues to generate revenue in Bangalore and Chennai.

Lead and Develop Team
- Identify skill gaps and developmental opportunities within the team.
- Resolve team performance issues in a timely manner to foster teamwork.
- Monitor the project lifecycle from intake through delivery.

Design Development and Management
- Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Identify client needs and prepare feasibility reports and design proposals.
- Lead the team in developing ideas considering client needs and sustainability.

Drawing Management
- Control drawing deliverables to ensure high-quality schematic and working drawings.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, guidelines, and regulations.

Consultant and Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with structural and service consultants for design and execution.
- Collaborate with various vendors for material selection.

Client and Site Coordination
- Regularly gather client feedback and coordinate with project managers.
- Conduct periodic site visits to monitor project status and report progress.
Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch or equivalent).
- Master’s degree in construction or project management (desirable).

Skills:
- Fluency in AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, MS Office, Revit, and Photoshop.

Experience:
- 15 to 20 years of experience with an architectural consultancy firm, including at least 10 years focused on mixed-use or commercial projects.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of at least 10 people.
- Completion of two projects graded A- IT campuses of a minimum of 1,500,000 sq. ft from start to finish in Bangalore.
- Established networking with owners/top management of the top 3 developers in the city.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on projects for leading developers, such as DLF, Prestige, Brigade, Embassy, and RMZ.
Experience
- A total of 15 to 20 years in relevant experience, specifically leading and managing architectural projects.
Environment
- Work will be conducted in Mumbai, with the necessity for occasional travel to project sites which may require more than two days of stay. The candidate should be ready to work extended hours to meet project timelines.
