Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Social Media plays a vital role in our marketing team, owning the online presence of Global HealthX. This position involves transforming our ecosystem of events, partnerships, founder stories, research insights, and industry conversations into compelling, platform-native content that drives visibility, engagement, and brand affinity.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end organic social media across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and YouTube, including planning, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Translate a high-energy calendar of healthcare innovation events, announcements, and ecosystem milestones into compelling social narratives.
  • Create engaging content surrounding founders, startups, researchers, speakers, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with in-house designers and videographers to conceptualize and deliver social-first creatives, videos, and campaign assets.
  • Plan and execute basic paid social campaigns to amplify flagship events, launches, and strategic announcements.
  • Build and maintain a consistent publishing cadence while ensuring every post reflects our brand voice and positioning.
  • Track platform performance, identify opportunities for growth, and present actionable monthly insights.
  • Stay updated on platform trends, emerging formats, and best practices to continuously evolve our social presence.
  • Engage meaningfully with our growing community of founders, healthcare professionals, investors, universities, and ecosystem partners.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, startup, or agency.
  • Strong understanding of how different platforms work, with the ability to create content that feels native to each one.
  • Experience running and optimizing basic paid social campaigns.
  • Excellent writing skills with an eye for storytelling, design, and visual communication.
  • Highly organized and proficient in juggling multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Enjoyment of collaboration with creative teams, turning ideas into impactful content.
  • Proactive, curious, and always seeking new ways to grow audiences and engagement.
  • Able to thrive in fast-moving environments where no two weeks are the same.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in healthcare, health-tech, education, innovation, or startup ecosystems.
  • Experience building founder or executive personal brands.
  • Familiarity with analytics, social listening, and scheduling tools.
  • Experience covering live events and creating real-time social content.
