Job Summary

We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to help build and refine the UI applications at the heart of our product. In this role, you'll work with React.js / Next.js and Redux while taking real ownership of features from the first commit through to production. You will also work in an agent-driven workflow, directing coding agents and ensuring the output meets the quality standards needed for production.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine responsive, polished UI features in React.js / Next.js, owning them through to production.
• Direct coding agents, review and refine their output, and own the result end to end.
• Solve complex frontend problems and optimize UI performance.
• Integrate primarily against REST APIs from our Go backend, conducting occasional full-stack work in Node.js.
• Develop tests and validation to back your work using Vitest and Playwright.
• Identify bugs and edge cases, isolate root causes, and implement proper fixes.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of UI development experience, ideally in a product-oriented company.
• Technical Skills:
  • Practical experience with React.js / Next.js and Redux for state management.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3, capable of building responsive, visually appealing interfaces.
• Hands-on Experience: Proven experience working within an agent-driven workflow, directing agents, and reviewing their work.
• Testing and Quality: Familiarity with modern testing frameworks like Vitest and Playwright, with good instincts around tests and validation.
• Debugging Proficiency: Strong analytical ability to isolate and resolve tricky issues with persistence.
• API Integration: Core expertise in integrating RESTful APIs and using Git.
• Interpersonal Skills: Clear communicator, strong team player, and eagerness to learn and adopt new tools.
• Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Full-stack experience, particularly with Node.js backends.
• Experience working in a fast-moving product-based startup environment.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years in UI development, ideally within a product-focused company.
