Job Summary

The Product Manager will play a crucial role in defining and delivering product strategies that align with the business goals. This position leverages existing knowledge and guidelines to make recommendations for improvement, ensuring the product meets user needs and business expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate value propositions and key messages corresponding to problem statements; translate these into new product concepts or upgrades.
  • Define the product strategy and vision while aligning business value with business owners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze competitors' solution offerings to establish the product's strategic positioning in collaboration with Product Marketing Management.
  • Manage third-party partnerships by defining requirements, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating product evolution.
  • Engage Amadeus teams in the product vision, sharing knowledge and ensuring mutual understanding across the business.
  • Support co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define product features, and prioritize them based on effort and expected business value.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap; align timelines with stakeholders, ensuring a coordinated release plan of new products or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to coordinate various functional and technical streams to achieve overall solution consistency.
  • Manage budget responsibilities for the product area, including capacity planning with R&D.
  • Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops) as required.
  • Fulfill the Product Owner role or Agile Release Train (ART) Program Manager when applicable, working with R&D teams to optimize outcomes.
  • Ensure that released solutions meet user needs and adhere to product readiness guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical and functional knowledge in product management and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and competitors’ product offerings.
  • Proven experience in defining product strategy and managing product roadmaps.
  • Solid understanding of budget management related to product development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate product vision and requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Background in the travel and tourism industry (preferably within Amadeus).
  • Knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management principles.
