Job Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer position is responsible for managing and optimizing the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform. This role is crucial for maintaining system reliability, availability, and performance, while ensuring effective use of OCI services in line with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage OCI cloud infrastructure, focusing on PaaS and IaaS environments.
• Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Guard, and Security Zones.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Maintain documentation for OCI environments and procedures to support system operations.
• Drive automation efforts through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and implement test automation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in OCI core services: VCN, Network Security Groups (NSGs), subnets, compute services, load balancers, Web Application Firewall (WAF), block/object storage, and databases.
• Experience in Security concepts, including IAM, policies, and compartments.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Shell and Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, including OCI Monitoring and Logging Analytics.
• OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Foundations, OCI Architect Associate/Professional) are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud services, including Autonomous Database and Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline configurations.
• Understanding of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions in OCI.

Experience

• 6 to 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management or systems engineering.

• The position is based in Bangalore or Chennai.
