Data Engineer

Job Summary

The Data Engineer internship is designed for individuals passionate about data analysis and machine learning. As a Data Engineer, you will work on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, supporting data-driven decision-making, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, optimizing workflows, and contributing to innovative solutions that drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to implement machine learning models.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading using Python.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data sources.
• Document processes and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques.
• Familiarity with data processing and transformation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Educational Requirement: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Prior internship or project experience in data engineering or related fields.

Experience

• Minimum Experience: 0 years (Freshers and recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Relevant coursework, academic projects, or internships in data analysis, engineering, or machine learning are a plus.

Salary

• ₹150,000 - ₹200,000 (internship stipend, as per company standards).
