Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Analysts for a remote internship position focused on dataset search and analysis for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) data. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in sourcing, examining, and interpreting datasets relevant to SDG initiatives, helping drive data-driven decisions and supporting impactful research. This internship is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in data analysis while contributing to global sustainability efforts.
Responsibilities
- Search, collect, and curate datasets relevant to SDGs from various online sources and repositories.
- Analyze and interpret data using statistical methods, identifying trends and key insights.
- Support the development of data-driven reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and relevance for ongoing projects.
- Document data collection processes, sources, and methodologies for transparency and reproducibility.
- Assist in preparing presentations or summaries for stakeholders or publication.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic data analysis methods and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and related data sources.
- Prior experience in research or academic projects involving datasets.
- Understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
Experience
- Minimum Experience: 0 years (Entry-level; suitable for students or recent graduates).
- Relevant experience in data analysis, research, or academic projects is a plus but not required.
