Job Summary
As the Lead Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for developing robotic software tailored for our AI Robots. This role involves designing and implementing manipulation and control algorithms, motion planning systems, and navigation systems, leading to the creation of robust, scalable solutions that revolutionize robotics in the construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust general-purpose robotic manipulation modules.
- Implement advanced algorithms in Robot Operating System (ROS), including real-time control and manipulation.
- Design behavior trees and decision-making frameworks.
- Integrate perception and control systems for autonomous robot operations.
- Build and maintain simulation environments for system validation.
- Lead the development of advanced algorithms for robot navigation and control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable robotics solutions.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master's (MS or PhD) in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in robotics, focusing on manipulator systems, control systems, localization, mapping, and navigation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in motion planning algorithms for 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) manipulators.
- Expertise in creating ROS2 drivers, including proficiency in MoveIt2 for manipulation and Nav2 for navigation tasks.
- Familiarity with simulation environments like Isaac Sim for realistic scenario testing and development.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and C++, with familiarity in ROS2.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with behavior-based robotics and advanced AI techniques.
- Knowledge of computer vision and sensor integration for robotic systems.
Experience
5-10 years of experience in the field of robotics, focusing on manipulation systems and control algorithms.
