Job Summary
The Sustainability Associate supports the EQT Private Capital Asia Sustainability team and the broader sustainability team in delivering key sustainability workstreams across funds and portfolio companies. This role focuses on sustainability reporting, data management, audit readiness, and cross-functional projects, ensuring the organization's sustainability objectives are effectively met.
Responsibilities
- Support sustainability reporting and audit-related processes across EQT, selected funds, and portfolio companies.
- Manage sustainability data collection, validation, monitoring, and engagement with portfolio companies on sustainability topics.
- Prepare and maintain sustainability materials, updates, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of company-wide and portfolio sustainability strategies from a data perspective.
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability topics and reporting frameworks, such as SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation), CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) protocol, and sustainability risk assessments including climate scenario analysis.
- Strong project management and process coordination skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent workstreams with high integrity and accountability.
- High level of attention to detail, with the ability to handle large datasets, information, documentation, and stakeholder communications with accuracy and sound judgment.
- Drive for continuous improvements in workstream efficiency, automation, and corporate memory.
- Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into clear, concise outputs for various stakeholders, including deal teams and reporting teams.
- Aptitude for critical and creative thinking across quantitative and qualitative dimensions, with a genuine interest in sustainability and sustainable finance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, global environment, preferably with knowledge of the private equity industry.
