Job Summary
We are hiring a Lead Product Manager who will be the senior-most product hire at Marzi. This is a hands-on product leadership role where the individual will report directly to the founder and will be accountable for building product experiences that drive Marzi’s business outcomes across app, web, events, community, lifecycle, and new product verticals. The ideal candidate will identify business problems, understand users deeply, define product solutions, and work closely with design and engineering to drive measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Own Marzi’s product roadmap across app, web, events, community, lifecycle, and new product experiences.
- Translate business goals into sharp product problem statements, user journeys, PRDs, experiments, and execution plans.
- Deeply understand Marzi's 50+ audience through both data and direct customer insight.
- Identify product-led bottlenecks affecting activation, engagement, event registration, repeat actions, and lifecycle movement.
- Define product funnels, dashboards, and success metrics.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to prioritize, ship, and iterate quickly.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–8 years of product experience in a B2C product environment.
- Product Building: Experience building new product experiences from scratch, particularly in early-stage or high-growth environments.
- Consumer Product Experience: Strong understanding of user journeys, onboarding, activation, engagement, and retention.
- Engagement and Retention: Proven track record in building products that enhance engagement and lifecycle movement.
- Business Metrics Orientation: Experience in tracking and moving key business metrics like onboarding completion and repeat engagement.
- Data-Based Product Thinking: Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Firebase, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey product decisions clearly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in community, social, marketplace, healthtech, edtech, or fintech is advantageous.
- Background in building products for non-traditional young urban internet audiences.
- SQL or basic data querying capabilities.
- Previous experience in leading or managing product teams.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–8 years in product management, specifically with consumer-facing digital products.
