Job Summary

The SAP PP/QM Consultant will play a crucial role in configuring and supporting the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. This position is essential for enhancing production processes and ensuring quality standards are met, thereby contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP PP and QM modules to align with business requirements.
• Manage production orders, MRP, shop floor control, process orders, batch management, and capacity planning.
• Oversee QM processes including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, quality certificates, and non-conformance management.
• Integrate PP/QM with other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Financial Accounting (FI).
• Maintain and manage SAP master data, including materials, Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, resources, and inspection plans.
• Write functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for system enhancements.
• Provide hands-on support for SAP issue resolution, debugging, and end-user training.
• Utilize standard reporting and analytics tools within SAP for PP and QM reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in SAP PP and QM configuration and support.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in SAP PP and QM configuration.
  • In-depth knowledge of production orders, MRP, and shop floor control.
  • Proficiency in QM processes including quality certificates and non-conformance management.
  • Experience with integration of PP/QM with MM, SD, WM, and FI modules.
  • Familiarity with SAP master data management.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive functional specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in project management and leading teams.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5.

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in SAP PP and QM modules, with a proven track record of successful project implementations and support.

Environment

• The position is based in Bangalore, India. The work setting may involve collaboration with cross-functional teams and may require occasional on-site visits to production facilities.
