Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, reviewing, and enhancing complex financial models that serve a variety of high-stakes financial environments, including investment banking, private equity, and corporate finance. This technical, hands-on position requires a candidate who thrives on building solutions from the ground up and values autonomy while making a significant impact on the company's global product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize comprehensive financial models (integrated Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
- Build and validate advanced components of financial modeling, including revenue projections, growth drivers, sensitivity analyses, and capital structures.
- Review, stress-test, and enhance complex financial models created by internal teams and other experts.
- Design and resolve real-world financial scenarios for the platform, focusing on technical accuracy and educational value for users.
- Collaborate with finance experts and developers to ensure the integrity, documentation, and scalability of financial models.
- Provide ongoing operational support, including quality assurance, debugging, and continuous improvement of financial models.
Qualifications
- 2 – 8+ years of hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, risk management, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related fields.
- Proven experience in constructing complete, integrated financial models from scratch, including full three-statement models and valuations (Discounted Cash Flow, comparable analysis).
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, dynamic modeling, and multi-tab linked models.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on structure, thoroughness, and documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and their interconnections within financial statements.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high quality of work.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects end-to-end, and effectively prioritize tasks in a remote fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in designing or reviewing technical case studies or modeling assessments for training or educational purposes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
- Experience mentoring or leading junior analysts or associates.
- Familiarity with programming, automation, or data tools relevant to financial modeling.
Experience
2 to 8+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, or similar fields.
Environment
The position is remote, allowing for flexibility. It may require overlapping with U.S. Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours. The role thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous work environment.
