Job Description
<p><b>Position Title: Compliance head</b></p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>The Compliance Head will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the company's compliance with all license agreement requirements, regulations, and internal policies related to the apparel industry in India.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>They will work closely with various departments to implement and maintain effective compliance policies and procedures, and will provide guidance and training to employees on compliance issues.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>The Compliance Head will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing compliance risks, and for reporting to senior management on the company's compliance status.</p>

<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Develop, implement and maintain effective compliance policies and procedures for the company.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to ensure that the company is adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, license requirements and standards.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Monitor and assess compliance risks, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Work closely with other departments (e.g. legal, finance, operations, brands, business development) to ensure that compliance is integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Report regularly to senior management on the company's compliance status, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.</p>

<p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, business, accounting).</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>At least 10-15 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, preferably in the apparel industry. Experience in leading a team is a bonus.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to the apparel industry in India.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Prior experience managing a team would be a bonus.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.</p>
<p style="margin-left:48px"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">• </span></span>Proficiency in relevant computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).</p>
