Job Description
- Background: Wealth tech platform, more focused on mass and mass affluent having annual income > 10L or investable net worth of 40L. Historically this segment has failed as the TG is very risk averse. SM captured the sentiment of regular people with FD as a product and went to smaller banks with higher rates of interest - 11-12%. KYC happens on the platform within a matter of minutes rather than opening an account with the bank. 300 Cr AUM within the first 6 months. No education of the product required. Other platforms started with Bonds - needs a lot of education. They earn a commission from the bank - a small amount on the transaction. Not highly profitable with just FD - will upsell and add more products beyond. Bonds are on the way on the same platform. Series B is done but public announcement is pending. Can disclose to candidates.

- Team size: Some teams in place - junior folks will report to this person.

- CTC: 40-60L + ESOPs (don't disclose any amount)
- Location: Bangalore
- Experience: 5-8 YoE. B2C and sector agnostic. Understanding of tier 2/3 cities but not necessary. Strong functional knowledge over sector.
- Responsibilities: To acquire more customers, drive revenue through FDs, customer journey, acquisition and engagement and retention, organic/ paid.
- Duplication: Have met through their own network, but not out with search firms. Does not need someone very senior, realised after meeting a few.
- What has not worked: Needs someone more hustle-y, may have been a number 2 who understands growth and what channels will work at what budgets. May not have made decisions independently but will do it at SM. Humble personality.
