Scrabble is hiring for a fast-growing startup located in Bangalore, India. The company is building an upcoming e-commerce vertical focused on Home & Fashion essentials. They are looking to hire a Supply Lead to help scale supply operations across Tier 2/3 markets in India

Role Overview

This is a ground-up operating role. You will own sourcing, onboarding, catalog expansion, supplier quality, and regional supply development across fragmented Indian manufacturing and wholesale ecosystems.

You should be comfortable operating in unstructured environments, traveling to markets, building supplier relationships, negotiating aggressively, and creating scalable supply systems from scratch.

What You’ll Do

Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding

• Build and scale supplier networks across home and fashion utility categories
• Onboard manufacturers, traders, wholesalers, and regional suppliers
• Develop sourcing clusters across markets like Surat, Delhi, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Tiruppur, Rajkot, etc.
• Build a strong pipeline of low-cost, high-velocity SKUs

Category & Assortment Development

• Identify high-frequency utility products suitable for fast commerce
• Build region-specific assortments for different customer segments
• Optimize SKU mix for inventory turns, repeatability, and margins

Supply Operations

• Build onboarding SOPs, catalog standards, and supplier workflows
• Improve fill rates, inventory consistency, and procurement efficiency
• Work closely with demand team
• Reduce supply fragmentation and operational leakage

Market Intelligence

• Identify emerging utility trends and regional consumption patterns
• Track competitor assortment and pricing
• Build relationships within offline wholesale ecosystems

What We’re Looking For

• 4–10 years experience in supply, seller growth, sourcing, or merchant onboarding
• Experience working with fragmented Indian suppliers
• Deep understanding of wholesale markets and regional manufacturing ecosystems
• Ability to source aggressively while maintaining operational discipline
• Comfortable with high travel and field operations
