Mainframe CICS
Job Summary
The Mainframe CICS role is designed for a Subject Matter Expert who will provide direct technical support in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation, and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related Independent Software Vendor (ISV) products. This position is crucial for ensuring the stability and performance of CICS systems, contributing to the organization's overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical support for the planning, coordination, installation, implementation, and testing of CICS and related ISV products.
- Upgrade, install, and migrate CICS Transaction servers effectively.
- Support and install IBM and ISV-related products, including Compuware Abend/Aid, ASG TMON/CICS, Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, and CA Symdump.
- Serve as the primary on-call support for CICS and associated ISV products.
- Diagnose CICS system and related product issues, conducting root cause analysis as necessary.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing as scheduled.
- Maintain knowledge of CICS functionality and architecture.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in CICS and related ISV products.
- Proficiency in upgrading, installing, and migrating CICS Transaction servers.
- Experience with IBM and ISV products such as Compuware Abend/Aid, ASG TMON/CICS, Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, and CA Symdump.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in CICS or mainframe technologies are a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe environments, specifically with CICS and ISV products.
Environment
- This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. The work setting may involve collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in disaster recovery planning.
Salary
- Estimated salary range: 3,500,000.
