Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse performance, ensuring seamless coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) partners, maintaining inventory accuracy, and managing inbound/outbound processes. This role plays a critical part in achieving key operational objectives, driving process improvements, and ensuring SLA adherence across all warehouse touchpoints. The incumbent operates with a process-first, metric-driven, and ownership mindset to optimize speed, accuracy, and efficiency in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities

Order Fulfilment & SLA Adherence
- Own end-to-end coordination with 3PL/warehouse partners to ensure 99.9%+ SLA adherence on order dispatch.
- Track daily order release, picking, packing, and dispatch timelines; escalate and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
- Drive B2B order dispatch adherence, including cut-off compliance, priority routing, and marketplace/channel SLA commitments.
- Build and monitor dashboards for real-time fulfilment health, ensuring data accuracy and leadership readiness.

Inward & Goods Receipt Note (GRN) Operations
- Own Inward Turnaround Time (TAT) and GRN TAT from ASN receipt to stock availability on Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure vendor shipments are received, counted, and GRN-ed within defined SLAs.
- Identify and resolve inward discrepancies such as quantity shortages, quality rejections, and mismatches in coordination with vendors and warehouse teams.
- Drive process improvements to reduce inward processing time and error rates.

Return to Origin (RTO) & Return to Vendor (RTV) Operations
- Own RTO and RTV putaway accuracy and TAT.
- Ensure returned units are received, inspected, graded, and put away within timelines.
- Coordinate between logistics partners and warehouse teams to close RTO loops without inventory leakage.
- Monitor RTV workflows for accurate vendor credit reconciliation and timely stock disposition.

Inventory Management & Cycle Count
- Own monthly inventory variance tracking through systematic cycle counts.
- Design and execute cycle count schedules, ensuring 100% coverage of high-velocity and high-value inventory.
- Investigate root causes of shrinkage, variances, and mismatches; implement corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy benchmarks and publish monthly variance reports to leadership.

Systems & Integrations
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for warehouse system integrations, including WMS (e.g., Unicommerce, EasyEcom, Increff) and Order Management Systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento).
- Ensure configuration accuracy, escalate system issues, and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Drive WMS hygiene, including location mapping, bin accuracy, cycle count workflows, and exception handling.

Warehouse Partner Governance
- Conduct performance reviews with 3PL partners regularly.
- Define and track improvement plans for underperforming partners; analyze root causes of SLA breaches.
- Oversee adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
- Monitor labor utilization, slot adherence, and dock scheduling at partner warehouses.

B2B Operations & Trade Fulfilment
- Oversee B2B order processing workflows, including bulk dispatch, routing, and invoice generation.
- Track marketplace/channel order timelines to prevent dispatch SLA breaches.
- Coordinate with sales and distribution teams on order priorities and stock availability.

Finance & Reconciliation
- Oversee 3PL billing verification and invoice reconciliation.
- Track credit notes related to inventory shortages, GRN discrepancies, and return disputes.
- Ensure quarterly ledger reconciliation with warehouse partners.
Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, or E-commerce Operations, preferably in D2C or FMCG sectors.
- Strong hands-on experience managing 3PL partners and executing warehouse SOPs.
- High proficiency with data analysis, dashboards, cycle count analysis, variance root cause analysis, and metric-driven decision-making.
- Experience working with WMS platforms such as Unicommerce, EasyEcom, Increff, or similar.
- Proven ability to drive accountability and performance with external partners without direct authority.
- Excellent coordination skills balancing ground-level execution with process improvement and reporting.
- Educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
