Job Summary

The MLE (Machine Learning Engineer) role with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI is focused on developing and deploying ML models in a cloud environment. This position is crucial for leveraging cloud technologies to enhance machine learning workflows, ensuring models are efficient and effective throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain machine learning models using TensorFlow, Keras, or other ML frameworks.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Manage cloud resources with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI for scalable model deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Monitor models post-deployment to ensure they perform optimally and implement necessary updates.
• Utilize orchestrators like Vertex AI pipelines and Apache Airflow to streamline ML workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Java.
  • Extensive experience with TensorFlow, Keras, and/or PyTorch.
  • Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
  • Solid understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, including model evaluation metrics.
  • Experience with containers using Docker and managing virtual environments (e.g., venv, pip, poetry).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with data engineering and feature engineering techniques.
  • Awareness of streaming concepts such as windowing, late arrivals, and triggers.

Preferred Skills

• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools and workflows for optimal project management.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in machine learning, cloud computing, and software development.
