Job Summary

The IT Security Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing security-related projects within the AXA GBS organization. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying security risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage security projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Understand and utilize security tools such as Antivirus (AV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Proxy, Email Security, Vulnerability Management (VM), Policy Compliance, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), and Web Application Protection (WAP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and operations, to develop and implement security initiatives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create risk management plans to identify gaps and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to discuss project progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to inform project decisions and strategies.
  • Work closely with the Security Operations team, Enterprise IT, IT Platform Leaders, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)) is a plus.
  • 8-12 years of experience in project management, with a focus on security-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, networks, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).
