Sr. Java Technical Consultant

Job Summary

The Sr. Java Technical Consultant is responsible for leading and supporting the technical implementation of a financial services product. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the efficiency of our services, ensuring integration with various systems, and providing production support. The consultant will leverage their expertise in Java and associated technologies to meet the needs of the business and its clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technical implementations of financial services products.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
• Facilitate system integration through APIs, files, and Apache Kafka.
• Provide production support and manage batch processes effectively.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and optimize commercial and corporate banking workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and system integration.
• Demonstrated experience in production support and batch management.
• Good understanding of commercial and corporate banking workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data streaming technologies like Apache NiFi and Apache Flink.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically in Java technologies.

Environment

• Location: Trivandrum (Preferred) / Chennai (Hybrid).
• Work mode is hybrid, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home arrangements.
• Working hours: 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM IST.
